I’m learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me

It’s been liberating to walk away from a few things that are not meant for me πŸŽ‰

Here are a few of the things that I’ve walked away from ⬇️

🚫 Exposing myself to unnecessary Christmas related triggers that cause flashbacks of the abuse I suffered throughout my childhood

🚫 Powering through - when I actually need to power down, rest and recoup

🚫 Bypassing my heavy feelings

Things I’m doing instead ⬇️

✨ Creating more safely for myself; knowing that I have the power to say no to exposing myself to these unnecessary Christmas triggers

✨ Taking more time to sleep and rest, and to engage in simple activities that soothe my nervous system

✨ Allowing myself time and space to feel - plus asking for those I trust deeply to be with me in my darker moments
