I am delighted to share my first degree reiki training course with you! This is a comprehensive first degree reiki training course (reiki level 1). All of my reiki offerings and reiki courses are trauma informed and trauma sensitive. On completion of this course you will receive a certification in Usui Method of Natural Healing First Degree Reiki. First Degree Reiki Training Pre-requisites:

To complete this course all you will need is an open heart, an open mind and a desire to learn and grow.

First Degree Reiki Training Course Structure:

This first degree reiki training course is delivered in two parts - online theory and in person practical (based in the Greater Manchester area).

First Degree Reiki Training Course Content:

  • An exploration of the chakra system and subtle anatomy

  • The Gokai - A discussion on the principles of reiki, the challenges we may encounter and how we can apply these principles to daily life

  • What is reiki and how does it heal?

  • The history of reiki

  • Offering reiki treatments to yourself and others- sensations & contraindications

  • Guided meditation - including grounding techniques, chakra balancing, protection, connecting with guides, angelic energies, ascended masters & Grace

  • Preparation for attunements & practical course

  • Reiki first degree attunements

  • Guided self reiki healing

  • Preparing to give a reiki treatment to yourself and to others

  • Ethics of reiki - safe boundaries, consent, payment exchange, scope of practice, practicing non-attachment & taming the ego

  • Continued self healing and self development through reiki

Please note, 3-4pm on the online theory date is for you to complete six homework questions ready for the practical course (our zoom call will finish at 3pm). Please see your homework questions at the bottom of this page.

First Degree Reiki Training Booking Details:

Online Theory - Via Zoom. Zoom ID & password will be sent via email prior to the course.

First degree reiki training manual will be sent via email prior to the course. Please bring your phone/laptop/tablet to view your manual (alternatively you may wish to print it out).

Practical Location - Inner Health Clinic, 2 Greek Street, Stockport, SK38AB.

First Degree Reiki Certification:

On completion of this course you will be given a certification in Usui Method of Natural Healing First Degree Reiki. Following the completion of this course you will be able to administer self healing and offer Reiki healing treatments for others.

First Degree Reiki Training Post Course Requirements:

Following this course you are required to complete self healing daily for a minimum of 21 days.

Preparation For Your Practical First Degree Reiki Training Course

Prepare For Your First Degree Reiki Attunements:

To prepare for your second degree reiki attunements it is important to bring your body and mind into optimal health and harmony. Minimum 3 days prior (ideally 7 days prior)

  • No alcohol, meat or fish (or recreational drugs)

  • Reduce caffeine, sugar and smoking

  • Disconnect from media completely

  • Disconnect from social media completely

  • Disconnect from toxic relationships/negativity

  • Spend time in nature

  • Step away from any anger, hatred, fears and worries that burden you

  • Sit in meditation/contemplation for at least 10 minutes twice daily – you may wish to also write in a journal

  • Drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruits and vegetables

  •  Enjoy gentle exercise daily such as yoga or walking

  • Enjoy lots of rest

  • Give yourself plenty of time before and after each day of the course to integrate everything that has been shared and experienced

It is important that you do not drink any caffeine prior to the reiki attunements. The Reiki attunement will naturally detoxify the physical body and mind and can create sensations similar to those with a reiki treatment.

First Degree Reiki Training Pre-Course Homework:

To ensure you are mentally prepared for your practical course here is your pre-course homework. Please note, time has been allocated during our online theory day for you to complete this homework.

  • Re-read your manual

  • Practice grounding, clearing and protecting your energy

  • Write your answers to the following questions:

  1. How will you explain reiki healing to a new client?

  2. How will you prepare yourself to give a reiki healing treatment (physically, emotionally, mentally & energetically)?

  3. What is your procedure prior to offering reiki?

  4. What is your procedure for safely closing a reiki treatment?

  5. What post healing information will you give to a client after their reiki ?

  6. What are the contraindications for offering reiki? When are the time we shouldn’t give reiki?

  • Please bring these answers with you to the practical course

Please note, this is not a test! All the answers for these questions are in your manual. These questions are simply an opportunity for you to revise and prepare yourself for giving reiki treatments to yourself and others.

What To Bring To Your First Degree Reiki Training:

  • Notepad & pen

  • Snacks, water, light lunch (including any cutlery you may need)

  • Yoga mat

  • Blanket & pillow to sit on

  • Phone/laptop/tablet to view your manual or print out

  • Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in (light coloured clothing is preferable)

  • Please note we will be seated on the floor at times (chairs are also available)

  • There are yoga mats, yoga blocks & blankets available at Inner Health Clinic if needed
