I have been thinking a lot about the role that fear plays in my life. At times, I am extremely grateful for my fear as it keeps me safe. And then there are other times where my fear has held me back.
A wise friend said to me many years ago, "let your fear sit in the back of the car, but don't let it drive".
I have carried this nugget of wisdom with me since then. I know that fear has its place in our system, after all, we are wired for safety and survival, but ideally our fear shouldn't "drive" us.
Recently, we have had a fair few newcomers at our ASV Beginners & Improvers Courses. I am always moved by the bravery it takes to show up to a yoga class.
Through the work we do, I am constantly reminded not to let fear control me. I witness our students and retreat guests overcoming their fear and showing up for themselves, and I am reminded to do the same.
Thank you to all those that join our yoga classes, yoga events, reiki courses, and life coaching, for inspiring me and constantly reminding me of what I know deep down.
With love and deep gratitude,
Sarah Xx
